The distribution of Rs10,000 financial assistance under the Ramadan Nigehban Card initiative is currently underway, with district administration teams delivering cards directly to beneficiaries’ homes.
According to officials, the process is being supervised by Deputy Commissioner Ali Ejaz to ensure timely and transparent delivery of funds. So far, more than 61,000 Ramadan Nigehban cards have been distributed in Lahore.
Authorities also took strict action after receiving complaints about illegal commissions being charged from citizens. Six shops were sealed and cases were registered against those involved. Officials made it clear that corruption or exploitation in the distribution process will not be tolerated.
The district administration has emphasized that the entire process must remain 100% transparent, ensuring that every deserving individual receives their financial support without deduction.
The Ramadan Nigehban program aims to provide immediate relief to low-income families during the holy month.
