The distribution of Ramadan Nigehban Cards is continuing across Punjab to ensure deserving families receive Rs10,000 cash assistance or shopping support during the holy month.
According to officials, district administration teams are delivering the cards in a transparent manner. Just yesterday, 4,347 cards were distributed, bringing the total coverage to 89 percent. So far, around 70,590 families have benefited from the program.
Authorities have directed that the remaining 8,366 cards be delivered without delay so that no eligible household is left out. Deputy commissioners have been instructed to monitor the process closely to maintain transparency and efficiency.
The Bank of Punjab agents and partnered shopkeepers are also coordinating to ensure beneficiaries can easily access their assistance without inconvenience.
The Punjab government says the initiative aims to provide immediate financial relief and essential support to low-income families during Ramadan, with strict oversight to prevent irregularities.
