The Government of Punjab has announced early disbursement of salaries and pensions for Muslim government employees ahead of Eid ul Fitr.
According to a notification issued by the Punjab Finance Department, salaries and pensions for the month of March 2026 will be paid on March 16, 2026, instead of the usual schedule.
The decision has been taken to facilitate employees and pensioners so they can manage their Eid-related expenses comfortably. The official notification confirms that both pay and allowances, as well as pensions, will be credited in advance.
Officials have directed relevant departments and treasury offices to ensure timely processing so that payments are released without delay.
The move is being seen as a relief for thousands of government employees and retirees across Punjab, especially during the festive season when household expenses typically increase.
