The Government of Pakistan has officially launched the Prime Minister Ramadan Relief Package 2026, with a major increase in financial assistance for deserving families.
The announcement was made during a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, where it was confirmed that the cash support amount has been increased from Rs5,000 to Rs13,000 per eligible family. A total of Rs38 billion has been allocated for this year’s package, making it one of the largest Ramadan relief programs in the country’s history.
According to officials, funds are being distributed through a transparent digital wallet system to ensure smooth and dignified delivery. So far, by 8th Ramadan, around 64% of beneficiaries have already received payments, while verification of remaining applicants is underway. The package covers all provinces, including Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir.
