Expected Eid ul Fitr 2026 Holidays in Pakistan – Possible Dates Revealed

The Government of Pakistan has outlined the expected Eid ul Fitr holidays for 2026, with final dates depending on the Shawwal moon sighting.

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet on the evening of March 19, 2026 (29th Ramadan) to sight the moon and officially announce the start of Shawwal.

If the moon is sighted on March 19 and Ramadan ends after 29 days, Eid ul Fitr is likely to be observed from March 20 to March 22 (Friday to Sunday).

However, if Ramadan completes 30 days and the moon is not sighted, Shawwal will begin on March 21. In that case, Eid is expected from March 21 to March 23 (Saturday to Monday).

According to the 2026 public holidays calendar, Eid holidays are tentatively scheduled for March 21, 22, and 23, subject to moon confirmation.

Authorities will issue the final announcement after the official moon sighting decision.
