The Punjab Education Commission has decided to conduct the annual Class 8 board examinations on e-sheets for the first time in Punjab’s history.
Under the new system, answer sheets will be scanned and checked digitally to improve transparency and accuracy. Officials say this step will modernize the examination process and reduce chances of manual errors.
According to the commission, Class 8 exams will begin on March 9, 2026. The first paper will be Mathematics, followed by Urdu on March 10, English on March 11, and Science on March 12. Schools will conduct exams for the remaining subjects separately.
Students have been directed to reach their exam centers at least 30 minutes before the paper timing. All exams will be held from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, while 8th class result are expected to be announced on April 9, 2026.
Authorities believe the digital system will ensure quicker and more transparent result processing across Punjab.
