According to recent reports, CD Ventures — led by cricket enthusiast Gohar Shah — has acquired a 98% stake in the Stallionz from OZ Developers. The move comes after weeks of uncertainty and internal disagreements surrounding the franchise’s ownership structure.
Ownership Dispute and Transition
The Stallionz were originally purchased by OZ Developers earlier this year for a record amount. However, the situation soon became complicated due to reported disagreements among stakeholders and the exit of Australia-based Alpha Sports Group, which had initially been announced as a major partner.
Public claims and counterclaims about majority shareholding further fueled confusion. Despite the controversy, OZ Group maintained that no unauthorized transactions had taken place and that the franchise remained committed to preparing for its PSL debut.
With the reported sale of 98% shares to CD Ventures, effective control of the team has now shifted — pending formal approval from the Pakistan Cricket Board.
What About Multan Sultans?
